As a firm’s founder, gradually grew by training architects and draftspersons into skilled designers to create the firm’s sustainable, simple, aesthetic environments. With a strong belief in creative collaboration between clients, architects, and consultants, the firm works towards expressing the best character of each site while meeting the requirements of the program, schedule, and budget.

The AVA style and design language continue to evolve creating a brand recognized for its meticulously designed outdoor spaces. Rather than attempting to mimic nature, AVA’s goal with every design is to interpret natural processes as an artistic expression in their work. In 2015, AVA received the Best residential Landscape Architects (ASLA) award of excellence in residential landscape design.
